A Happy Return to Campbell House

It was wonderful to observe the sights and sounds of happy chatter and smiling faces filling our Early Learning Centre this week as the children returned from the holiday break. The children were certainly eager to re-connect with their peers and our ELC Program.

Our focus as educators for this first week of Term 3 has been to support our children to resume their usual routine in the educational setting. This involves re-connecting with the classroom program and current interests and inquiries.

It also involves re-connecting with peers and educators to re-establish these connections and relationships after the break. The children also need to re-familiarise themselves with classroom routines and expectations as they adjust to being back in our group learning environment.

We have an exciting term of learning planned for the children, including workshops with First Nations educator Emmy Webbers, Book Week, and celebrations for Father’s Day.

There are many interesting inquiries happening in each classroom, with more evolving as the children’s natural wonderings lead to further discussion and learning.

We look forward to an exciting term of learning and discovery in Campbell House.
