Barbreck Voices – From our Year 3 Class Representative

Mrs Toula Chatfield
Year 3 Class Representative

How many children do you have?

I have two girls, Alexia in Year 6 and Grace in Year 3.

What Year level are you a class representative for?

I am a Class Rep for Year 3.

What made you volunteer for the position?

I have been a Class Rep several times and enjoy organising events, embracing new families, and helping to promote a strong community in the School.

What are your main goals for this position in 2022?

After two challenging years with Covid, I’m looking forward to working closely with my fellow Class Rep, Georgina to continue to arrange a series of exciting in-person events and activities for the class. My other goal is to ensure there is good, ongoing communication, ensuring everyone is up to date with School news and information.

Why is volunteering important?

Volunteers provide additional support for the School and help to further create a positive and inclusive community. It also provides a good example to my daughters of the importance of giving back and supporting others.

Why is St Catherine’s the right school for your daughters?

My daughters love St Catherine’s with its fantastic and committed teachers, and being of a size that is small enough to be a close community, while still large enough to have extensive activities and opportunities. They love that they are always encouraged to try new things and to challenge themselves to ensure they are the best they can be.

Can you share something interesting about yourself?

I am an avid traveller and particularly love exploring and discovering little villages throughout Italy, or otherwise returning to my homeland of Greece to experience the magnificent food, sights, and people.
