Celebration of Sport Evening
Last night, St Catherine’s Sports Auxiliary and Sport Department held the annual Celebration of Sport Evening online.
Australian Opals Basketballer, Sara Blicavs shared her sporting journey and experiences at the Tokyo Olympics.
We celebrated the many achievements of our student athletes who competed in various sporting competitions throughout this year and announced the award recipients for each team.
As well as acknowledging our sporting achievements, we heard from special guest speaker, Sara Blicavs, member of the Australian Opals Women’s Basketball Team competing at the Tokyo Olympics. Sara shared the ups and downs of her journey, encouraging us to be positive, to do the things that make us happy, and to persevere when faced with a challenge. Our Award recipients are listed below. The Excellence Award is awarded to an outstanding performer and considers physical ability, performance consistency and resilience to perform under pressure.
The Coaches Award is received by an outstanding team contributor and considers attitude, enthusiasm and leadership towards establishing a positive environment within a team.
Congratulations to our award recipients and all students who have contributed to the great culture of sport at St Catherine’s this year.

Snow Australia Recognition
The following Year 12 students have been recognised by Snow Australia for their long-term participation in the Victorian Interschools competition: Annabel Sweetnam, Ava Lansell, Chloe Joubert, Emily McAllister and Jessica Yang.
The Snowsports Auxiliary are pleased to present them with the Snowsports Recognition Trophy.
