Due to ongoing COVID restrictions, St Catherine’s School’s 2021 Gala Concert, Milestones 125, has been postponed to 2022 at the Melbourne Recital Centre.

However, the show must go on via…The Blue Ribbon! Each week performances and rehearsals from our talented Barbreck and Senior School students will be showcased.

Although nothing compares to the stage, we hope our School community enjoys the passion and talents of our musicians and performers digitally.

This week we feature the Barbrek Strings, performing Two French Folk Tunes – Traditional, arranged by Douglas.E.Wagner.

The Barbreck Strings is an ensemble for all students in Years 4 to 6. Students should have a minimum AMEB standard of Grade Two. It is open to all students who learn the violin, viola, cello and double bass either at School or externally. They rehearse once a week during lunchtime and prepare repertoire during the year for Junior School Assemblies, Barbreck Recitals, the biannual Gala Concert and the Barbreck Concert.
