Barbreck – Year 3 Learning@Home

Zara Barr

During this time of Learning@Home, our girls have been particularly grateful for their family members, providing guidance and assistance throughout the day.

Last week with Mother’s Day approaching, we discussed Gratitude as being one of many positive emotions. It is about focusing on what is good in our lives and being thankful for the things we have. Gratitude is pausing to notice and appreciate the things that we often take for granted, such as having a place to live, food, clean water, friends, family and even computer access.

Gratitude is about taking the time to say thank you. It is so important, especially at the moment while we are at home. We encouraged the girls to focus on the positive parts of their life and to stop and think about what they are grateful about.

The task required the girls to choose one person and explain why they are particularly grateful to have this person in their life. As we celebrated Mother’s Day last Sunday, we have added some examples about these special ladies and why their daughters are so grateful to have them.
