Celebrating Mother’s Day

The children in the Early Learning Centre (ELC) were delighted to host their mums for a range of very special Mother’s Day celebrations this week. Each class held their own celebration to mark this special occasion. Much discussion, planning and preparation has gone into these events as the children discussed arrangements, planned details for the morning and then prepared cards, gifts and food for the morning tea.

Excitement and love could be felt in each classroom as the children enjoyed sharing this special time with their mums. The celebrations commenced with the sharing of a delicious morning tea. The children then acknowledged their mums with beautifully prepared cards and gifts. Time was also spent indulging their mums with stories, singing and a little pampering. This is always a highlight of the year for the children and their mums, a time that creates wonderful memories.

We wish all of the ELC mums a wonderful Mother’s Day with your families this Sunday.

Parent Participation

Parents are welcome and encouraged to participate in many aspects of the ELC programs. Each class has a parent roster where you are welcome to write your name down for a suitable morning to spend time assisting in the classroom. This is a great way to learn more about what is happening in the program and also to assist with various inquiries and projects.

We also seek parent assistance to help with our weekly Perceptual Motor Programme (PMP). Please write your name on the PMP roster for a suitable date if you are able to help out.
