Sport at St Catherine’s in 2019

Co-curricular Opportunities – Encourage: Inspire: Enrich

St Catherine’s offers an extensive sporting program aimed to encourage, inspire and enrich the physical health and wellbeing of its students.

St Catherine’s encourages sport as an important part of every student’s well-balanced weekly routine. Our program aims to provide athleticism through fitness, expertise and enjoyment in all areas of sport. It provides students of all ability levels with an opportunity for both participation and performance, through a range of different programs and pathways.

St Catherine’s offers Sport at both an intra-school level, through House Sport competitions, as well as at an interschool level, through the Junior School’s affiliation with School Sport Victoria (SSV) and the Senior School’s affiliation with Girls Sport Victoria (GSV) Sport Competition. St Catherine’s also provides pathways to higher-level competition through its involvement in a number of state and national championships.

Sport Program 2019

Sport has been off to an exciting start with Rowing and Swimming Camps taking place across the final weeks of the school holidays. I highly commend these students for the effort they have put in and know they have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to work hard and spend time with their teammates and coaches in and around physical activity.

As students return to school this week, it is time to reset and re-engage in the St Catherine’s School Sport program for 2019. For all the latest information regarding St Catherine’s Sport, please ensure you stay up-to-date with the mystcatherines Sport portal page, click here to check it out.
