shared individual projects. Preparation, transition and orientations into the next level of schooling are also a major feature of Term 4 in Campbell House.

2015 has been a very happy, busy year so far and we continue to be amazed and pleased with the progress of each individual learner in every way. However, we are astonished at how quickly the year is flying by! We thank all our parents for their support and partnership with us in what is an important journey towards future, more formal education for the children. It is amazing that so many of our young learners are in their final days of ELC and preparing to make the journey into formal schooling at prep level!

Learning and Growing

The five outcomes set by the Early Years Learning framework (National Curriculum for Early Learning in Australia) continue to be the anchor points for all that is undertaken in the Campbell House setting. The outcomes feature prominently in all the careful and detailed programming undertaken by the staff in each classroom. Through the use of the Reggio Emilia approach, our educators ensure young learners thoroughly enjoy their days in the ELC as they explore, wonder, imagine, create and importantly, solve problems. Independence is fostered in so many essential ways and we see the growth in this area in both personal approaches and in the learning. This is our absolute privilege on a daily basis. For parents information, we include the five learning outcomes below:

  • Outcome 1: Children have a strong sense of Identity
  • Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world
  • Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
  • Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners
  • Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators
