2025 Subject Selection Information
I hope all families have had a restful holiday period as we embark on another busy term at St Catherine’s.
This term all Years 8 to 11 students are required to make subject selections for 2025. Our focus is on making sure every student receives detailed information on all subjects and career pathways as they make their subject selections.
There is much to consider, so please speak to the relevant staff at School who can assist with any queries, including;

- Ms Kristy Tine, Careers Practitioner
These staff members are all excellent resources for discussion on subject selection and career pathways.
There are also a number of online resources that students and parents can access to assist their understanding and discussions on 2025 subject selections.

I encourage parents to begin reading this information and discussing 2025 subject selections with their daughters now. These resources contain information on every subject, VCE pathways, VCE acceleration deadlines, and criteria for entry into certain subjects.

These recorded presentations are available for all Year levels. In these presentations, parents are encouraged to listen to the subject selection process, noting the deadlines for subject selection, any specific selection criteria for subjects and the online application process.
Heads of Faculty Presentations
These presentations will take place over the coming weeks with all students hearing from each Head of Faculty regarding the subjects on offer. Students will also be able to ask any questions pertaining to their subject selections.

| Monday 5 August 8:00am | VCE Acceleration applications close for Years 9 & 10 students. No late submissions. |
| Friday 9 August | Students and parents notified regarding VCE Acceleration application |
| Monday 12 August 8:00am | 2025 Subject Selection opens |
| Friday 16 August 8:00pm | 2025 Subject Selection closes |
Subject selections for 2025 must be submitted by Friday 16 August at 8.00pm.
Please note that parental authorisation is required before these selections can be processed. Your daughter will enter your email address and an email will be sent to you. Once received, please click on the link in the email to sign off on the subject selections.
