The annual Premier’s VCE Awards recognise students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE).

This year, we are delighted to see several of our St Catherine’s students honoured for their exceptional results in their 2023 VCE subjects.

Alice Molnar: received the Premier’s Award for Units 3&4 Accounting 2023. Alice also achieved a perfect Study Score of 50 for the subject, under the guidance of her dedicated teacher, Mrs Tracey McCallum. Now in Year 12, Alice took this subject as a Year 11 student.

Millie Nilsen: was awarded the Premier’s Award for Units 3&4 History Revolutions 2023. Millie also achieved a perfect Study Score of 50 for this subject, taught by her dedicated teacher, Ms Anna Curnow. Now in Year 12, Millie took this subject as a Year 11 student.

Andrea Ting (Class of 2023): achieved the remarkable distinction of being a Top Three International Student in Victoria in 2023. In 2023, Andrea achieved an exemplary ATAR of 98.1.

Andrea’s success is a testament to her dedication and commitment to her studies, as well as the support and instruction provided by her teachers Mrs Vicki Marinelli, Ms Gillian Hosking, Miss Kristy Forrest, Ms Anna Curnow, Mrs Linda Morgan, and Mr Paul Gilby.

Rhea Werner: earned the Premier’s Award for Unit 3&4 German Second Language 2023, with support from the Victorian School of Languages. Now in Year 12, Rhea took this subject as a Year 11 student.

These accolades highlight the commitment and excellence of both our students and their teachers. The success of these students has been bolstered by a supportive and nurturing educational environment, personalised study pathways, and opportunities for accelerated learning throughout their time at St Catherine’s.

Alice, Millie, and Rhea’s awards for their accelerated VCE subjects, which they completed in Year 11 in 2023, underscore their hard work and dedication. We eagerly anticipate their final results as they complete Year 12 in 2024.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all these outstanding students and wish them continued success for the remainder of 2024.
