Barbreck Sport Update: District Cross Country & House Athletics

Last Thursday, St Catherine’s girls showcased their determination at the Armadale District Cross Country Carnival. Our blue ribbons girls from Year 3 to Year 6, took to the track with grace and stamina, racing in the 2km or 3km events.
It was a day full of grit and perseverance, with each participant displaying sportsmanship and resilience.
Congratulations to the following exceptional girls who secured spots in the top eight competitor tally, earning themselves a well-deserved ticket to the Division Cross Country Carnival scheduled for Tuesday 28 May:
- Ingrid Tan
- Yi Wing Kayley Lam
- Missoni (Missy) Byrne
- Imogen Brownjohn
- Gemma Jurcevic
The girls’ dedication and commitment has not only brought glory to our School but inspired us all to always try our best!
While the battle for the overall trophy was fierce, with Lauriston narrowly clinching the top spot, St Catherine’s showed remarkable performances, securing a well-deserved second place overall. This achievement speaks volumes about the strong spirit and unwavering determination of our girls.
St Catherine’s strength and depth were once again on full display as we proudly claimed the Population Trophy. This win is testament to our ability to punch above our weight against larger-population schools. This triumph is a result of the collective effort and unwavering commitment from each and every member of our Cross Country Team.
Congratulations to all the girls who participated in this event.
