Meet our Langley Templeton Captains

How did you feel when you were elected as a Captain?

Kimberly Chen

Kimberly: I was extremely excited and nervous at the same time. I know how important the role is and knew I needed to be there for my Langley Templeton Family.

Sophia: When I was elected as LT House Captain, I felt overjoyed and proud that my House thought that I was capable of leading them.

Why did you choose to nominate for a student leadership position?

Kimberly: I really wanted to give it a go! I love sport and I love House Sport and I knew it would be a fun role to take on. I was excited to work with the other Langley Year 6s to make it a great year.

Sophia: I decided to nominate myself for a leadership position because it was my dream ever since I was in Prep. In Year 5 I found myself looking up to the girls with a leadership role and aspired to be like them.

Can you share some of the things you want to achieve in this captaincy role?

Sophia West

Kimberly: I want to make sure everyone in Langley Templeton is feeling happy and included in all the sports and activities that we do. I want to make sure they try their hardest and have fun!

Sophia: I would like to achieve the honour of being a role-model to younger students and getting every girl enthusiastic for learning in the classroom and on the sports field.

What does being a St Catherine’s girl mean to you?

Kimberly: I like being a St Catherine’s girl because there are so many opportunities and everyone is inclusive. It’s a great community to be a part of. Being a St Catherine’s girl means always stepping up to a challenge and all the best swimmers are at St Catherine’s, so that’s awesome too!

Sophia: Being a St Catherine’s girl means that every time I walk through the Barbreck Gates, I have every reason to have a smile on my face and to always give everything a go.
