St Catherine’s won the junior and senior school divisions at Mt Buller last weekend to become National Snowsports Champion.
In windy and clear conditions St Catherine’s got off to a good start with numerous podium finishes in the cross country leg of the competition.
Amelia Maisano placed first in the Division 3 alpine event while Emma Kent was second in the cross country classic and BoarderX event.
Amelia Jones was first over the line in the Alpine and SkierX events and third in the cross country classic event.
Emily McAllister was second in the cross country classic and Julia Kent third.
The junior school won the overall Primary Girls division by a whopping 78 points while the senior school won the overall Senior Girls division by 38 points.
“All the girls competed throughout the snowsports season with great determination, perseverance and with a great sense of team spirit and were unified in their pale blue,’’ a school spokeswoman said.
