Ms Fiona Ganino-Day

Teaching for over 22 years, Fiona Ganino-Day has broad experience in a variety of roles and schools and is currently enjoying her current role as Head of Year 9.
For the last 10 years at St Catherine’s School, she has been the VCE Psychology teacher and taught the Psychology elective Clinical and Forensic Psychology.
Teaching the psychology subject and providing pastoral care to students is Fiona’s passion. “I am able to build a good rapport with my students and care for their educational and wellbeing needs.” Fiona explains. For the majority of her teaching career, Fiona has worked for the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) as a VCE Assessor and has also co-authored the VCE Psychology Units 1 and 2 textbook and workbook, as well as the VCE Psychology Units 3 and 4 textbook and workbook which are both currently at third editions.
Fiona also regularly presents at the annual Carter Down Educational Services (CDES) Psychology Teachers’ conference. As well as her Bachelor of Arts, Fiona has achieved a Diploma in Education as well as Post Graduate Diploma in Student Welfare and most recently returned to study, completing a Graduate Diploma in Psychology Advanced.
