Armadale District Swimming 2017

Our team of excited girls took part in the District Swimming Carnival held at Oakleigh Pool. Our girls performed very well resulting in many happy faces proudly sporting an array of ribbons on their chest. The standard of swimming has certainly risen over the past few years as was evident today. The hours spent training certainly have paid off for several of our girls who were delighted with their results. Chloe Nevins and Portia Gowrie have both qualified through to Division competition. Our 9 years girls won their freestyle relay by several metres. We certainly look forward to watching them over the next few years. Congratulations to Emma Peele who set a new District record for the 9 Yrs Backstroke in a time of 47.61. Our swimming team captains Brydie Read and Zara Krause were well organised and supportive of all their teammates.

The challenge is now set for anyone wanting to be part of the District action.
