Christmas Fair 2016

Under the leadership and guidance of Mrs Nicole Begley and the hardworking members of the PFA, the 2016 Christmas Fair was celebrated as a most enjoyable event. Barbreck and Campbell House members and families were present in large numbers and observations of the evening by staff, as well as endorsing remarks from the many visitors since, all echo the same sentiment of “what a fabulous event, with a wonderful community spirit,” and, “it is such a celebration of connectedness, enjoyment and camaraderie.” A sincere thanks to all involved and also for all the other special events and assistance afforded by the PFA in 2016.

Barbreck Music Concert

A most enjoyable evening and celebration of music was readily available on Thursday 24 November for all those who attended. It was an opportunity to observe the professionalism, individual and group tuition and the commitment of all those who lead, teach and support the many music opportunities for Barbreck students from Prep to Year 6.

Thank you to Mrs Melissa Dods, Mrs Jenny Mathers, Mr Tim Collins and all the staff involved in the many and varied choral and instrumental programs.

The Four Leaf Clover Program

The end of year culmination of this valuable initiative was once again a happy, successful cross age event.

To the staff in the Campbell House 4YO programs and the Barbreck Year 4 staff, we say “many thanks and well done.”

The Program is beneficial in so many varied ways to all involved and an activity which is anticipated by all those entering 4YO ELC and Year 4 next year.

The School Year Draws to a Close

The 2016 School year closes at 1.00pm after final Assembly for the year on Wednesday 7 December. During the Assembly we will farewell the Year 6 students, who are finishing their Junior schooling, and wish them well for a successful commencement in 2017 in the Senior School. The 2016 Year 6 students have contributed much to the Barbreck community in a spirit of good cheer and generosity. Their quick response to all requests for help and leadership, has been demonstrated readily and we appreciate each one for their efforts.
