Jill Reichstein (’67) has for over 30 years made a significant contribution towards the growth of social change philanthropy in Australia.

For over 30 years Jill Reichstein (’67) has made a significant contribution towards the growth of social change philanthropy in Australia.

Jill is the Chair of the Reichstein Foundation, a position she has held since 1987. In this role, Jill has been active in developing strategic partnerships and alliances towards growing progressive philanthropy, as well as mentoring and resourcing new donors who are seeking to clarify their own philanthropic direction.

Her involvement with social change philanthropy grew from her early involvement with the first women’s refuge in Victoria and with the community childcare movement. Among the numerous positions she has held, Jill is a Past President of Philanthropy Australia, serving on its Board for 10 years, and was on the Board of the Koorie Heritage Trust for 21 years. In 2000, Jill was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to the community and through the promotion and development of philanthropy in Australia.

Jill is currently Chair of the Australian Environmental Grantmakers Network and serves on the Boards of the Trust for Young Australians, Igniting Change and the Australian Women Donors Network.

Jill unwinds by swimming and practising yoga. She also enjoys her garden and travelling.
