Amanda Robertson (’79) was School Captain in her final year at St Catherine’s. After leaving school she studied Medicine at the University of Melbourne and then trained at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. A Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Amanda spent three years in England for post-fellowship training in liver, vascular and transplant surgery.

Dr Amanda Robertson (’79) was School Captain in her final year at St Catherine’s. After leaving School she studied Medicine at the University of Melbourne and then trained at the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH).

A Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Amanda spent three years in England for post-fellowship training in liver, vascular and transplant surgery.

Amanda is Head of Nephrology Surgery at RMH where they perform over 100 kidney transplants a year. She is also busy with General and Trauma surgery, teaching and supervising junior medical staff and running a private practice based at RMH.

For a number of years Amanda has been a member of many medical teams which have assisted in disaster areas, including West Timor. In 2006 she led a medical team following a massive earthquake in Pakistan.
Amanda has two children, three year old Hugo and one year old Annabel, who occupy her home time and more.
