Exemplary Staff – Early Learning Centre 2022

At the heart of the St Catherine’s experience is the relationship between our teachers and students.

Through our consistently strong academic results and focus on developing the ‘whole-child’ the quality of our teaching and the commitment to excellence shown by our staff is evident.

To ensure a continuous culture of learning occurs in every classroom and Co-curricular program, St Catherine’s commits to engaging exceptional staff, aligned with our values in their passion for girls’ education and wellbeing.

It is with great pleasure we welcome the following exemplary staff to St Catherine’s Early Learning Centre.

Early Learning Centre

Ms Erin Jolly
ELC Assistant

Erin is a past employee at St Catherine’s School ELC – and we happily welcome her return. Erin is a highly qualified ELC Teacher who has chosen to step into an assistant role for the time being. Erin was most recently working at Melbourne Girls Grammar and Caulfield Grammar. Having previously worked with our current ELC team, and as a current parent, she has great admiration for St Catherine’s ELC’s care, dedication and commitment to their students and families. Erin’s background in Performing Arts and Dance add to her extensive experience, where her passion for Early Childhood Education shows in  her skills to inspire, extend and support children’s interests and learning.

Ms Melissa Meirun
ELC Teacher

With a background in journalism and communications, Melissa’s greatest passion lies in the enchantment of words, language, and the creative visual arts. With the initial intention to author and illustrate a series of children’s picture storybooks, Melissa found herself enrolling in her Master of Teaching in Early Childhood to better understand young learners. After her first 10-days of placement, Melissa has been educating young minds for five years. Melissa believes the role of an early childhood educator is paramount to the growth and development of a child and aims to promote joy through play, inquiry and nature based learning, and fostering pre-emerging literacy and numeracy skills.
