A wonderful place to be

It has been wonderful to observe the sights and sounds of happy chatter and smiling faces filling the Early Learning Centre this week as the children returned from the holiday break.  The children were certainly eager to re-connect with their peers and the program.

Our focus as Educators for this first week of term has been to support the children to resume their usual routine in the educational setting.  This involves re-connecting with the classroom program and current interests and inquiries.  It also involves re-establishing connections with peers and educators after the break.  The children also need to re-familiarise themselves with classroom routines and expectations as they adjust to being back in this group learning environment.

We have an exciting term of learning planned for the children, including workshops with Indigenous Educator Pallyan and artist Merindah Gunya, a sustainability Incursion, Book Week activities and celebrations for Father’s Day. There are many interesting inquiries happening in each classroom and many more will evolve as the children’s natural wonderings lead to further discussion and learning.

We look forward to an exciting term of learning and discovery in Campbell House.
