Strengthening Partnerships

Teddy Bear’s Picnic

It had been quite a while since I attended a Teddy Bear’s Picnic, and I have to say, I was not disappointed! What a wonderful family event it turned out to be, with both parents and children thoroughly enjoying themselves. The event was incredibly well attended, and the addition of the Bake Off for the upper primary students sparked great interest among the older girls. A huge thank you to the PFA for their dedication and hard work in organising such a memorable day. This event epitomises the welcoming and supportive community that St Catherine’s fosters.

NAPLAN 2025
We have successfully completed NAPLAN for 2025. While there were a few nerves before the first assessment, our girls tried their best and performed admirably. The exam-style setup is quite different from what the Junior School students are used to, but the girls adapted and handled the more formal assessment process with great maturity. We are now awaiting the results, which will be shared with Year 3 and 5 parents once they are made available.

Home-School Partnerships
The partnership between home and school is essential to the success of our girls’ education. Recently, we held our Term 1 Parent-Teacher meetings, and I’m pleased to report that they were very well attended, whether they were online or face-to-face. We received excellent feedback from both parents and teachers, and it was a great opportunity for everyone to connect. If any parents would like to discuss further concerns or have additional questions about their daughter’s learning, I encourage you to reach out to your child’s class teacher.
