Ambassadors at Work

Year 5 students have enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to collaborate with Year 6 students during our Barbreck Ambassador Program.
This initiative is available to students in Years 5 and 6 throughout their final years in Barbreck. The Ambassador Program strives to nurture the leadership capabilities of students and equip students with skills in teamwork and management.
The Program offers genuine learning experiences and project opportunities for students to collaborate, reflect, refine, and improve their leadership skills. Students have been diligently crafting activities in their House groups to design and create activities that are suitable for Prep to Year 4 students for the Easter event happening later in the term.
Here are some reflections from our Year 5 Ambassadors:
“I really like the Ambassador Program because of how exciting it is. My favourite thing that we have done is planning the Easter activities for an event later in the term. I have always wondered how they planned the activities in Year 4, but now I am so excited to be able to plan the activities with everyone.” Ashley Siswanto
“The Ambassador Program teaches you teamwork because you work with your House group. I like how everyone works together. I am looking forward to working with everyone this year.” Chantelle Tan
“I love the Ambassador Program because we get to work with the Year 6s to come up with some age-appropriate activities for Prep through to Year 4 students. We got to put in all our ideas, which I loved.” Lola Parker
“I have enjoyed planning for the Easter Fair. I am looking forward to learning how to be a leader for next year. It is fun working in our House group as a team.” Nina Steedman
