Anne Court AM (Lowry,‘58) has enjoyed a long involvement in golf as a player, referee and administrator. Anne is a Life Member of Royal Melbourne Golf Club and has served as Women’s Captain and Women’s President.

She has also served as President of Women’s Golf Victoria (now Golf Victoria) and Vice-President of Women’s Golf Australia, in addition to chairing Rules and Match Committees at state and national levels for amateur and professional golfers. For over 30 years, Anne was referee for the Men’s & Women’s Australian Open golf tournaments and the Victorian and Australian Amateur Championships.

Anne is the current Patron of the Golf Society of Australia and a past President and Life Member of that organisation.

In 2000, Anne was awarded the Australian Sports Medal for her contribution to golf administration.

Among her other activities, Anne was a long-serving volunteer and board member of Mecwacare Aged Care, Chair of East African Coffee Plantations Limited and President of the Alexandra Club.

Anne has maintained a strong, continuing association with St Catherine’s School as a past parent and past grandparent. She has served as a committee member and President of the St Catherine’s Old Girls’ Association, the St Catherine’s Foundation and is a current member of the St Catherine’s School Council.

In 2023, Anne was recognised for her significant service to golf administration and to the community when she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia.

In addition to golf and spending time with her family Anne enjoys opera, ballet, bridge, travel, club life and following cricket, tennis and the Melbourne Football Club.
