As our students and parents adapt to a new way of learning, our teachers are equipping themselves with the best available information and tools to support learning in a new landscape and with new technologies.

St Catherine’s School is committed to the delivery of the curriculum via the Learn@Home Program accessed through our School Portal and Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft Teams will be an essential tool to maintain classes since teachers and students are more frequently teaching and learning remotely. Using Microsoft Teams, our teachers, students, parents and guardians can easily meet virtually to connect, discuss, brainstorm and work on documents, in real-time.

This approach to learning recognised that remote learning is an extension of the Schools learning environment and continued to utilise the current pedagogical practices. St Catherine’s teachers have embraced the transition to our online Learn@Home program with further professional development seminars undertaken with the ICT Team and collaborative work to revisit the assessment and delivery of the academic programs. Our key focus during Learn@Home was to ensure our academic programs delivered a continuity in learning whilst maintaining the structure of the girls’ timetable and a need for social connection with their peers.
