Caring for the individual
When your daughter joins St Catherine's, she becomes a part of our close and supportive community. Students, teachers and parents who have experienced other schools, often comment on the amazing feeling of belonging that is enjoyed by all at St Catherine's. Our smaller class sizes enable teachers to know your daughter personally and to help her to identify her individual talents, abilities and develop her learning style.
Education of the whole person
St Catherine's provides your daughter with a comprehensive academic program alongside sporting, cultural and leisure activities. We encourage her intellectual, social, emotional and moral growth, so that when she leaves us she will have the skills and confidence to be a caring, competent and confident young woman, able to enjoy and fully contribute to the world around her.
High Academic Achievement
Whilst our students are enjoying creative and active school days, we never lose sight of the importance of academic achievement. On average, 15% of our students receive an ENTER of above 98 and more than 50% achieve above 90, and compared with a state average of 20%, approximately 75% of our students achieve an ENTER of 80 or higher.
Leader in International Education
Due to the strength of our educational programs and outstanding results in VCE over many years, The University of Melbourne considers St Catherine's School to be one of the leaders in international education in Melbourne and a pathway for international and local students to the University. Through the Schools Partnership Program International, our international students are provided with additional assistance by the University in the area of careers. Our international students have extensive support in English as a Second Language to ensure that they can benefit from all that St Catherine's offers in the curricular and co-curricular areas.
