Term 3 Begins
Tuesday 14 July 2009
After a two week break, students arrived at School this morning ready to begin another busy term. While formal classes start today, yesterday the School was already lively. Our boarders returned and settled back into the Boarding House - Illawarra and some senior students participated in an athletics training day.
The Monday before school starts is also traditionally a staff day. Staff from the whole of the School, gather for an initial meeting to hear about property and grounds improvements, curriculum developments and often a special topic that is important to all. The rest of the day is spent in area meetings and in preparation for the return of students the next day.
This term we have returned to changes to the secondary school buildings, as well as general grounds improvements. There will not be many visible changes to our secondary school buildings during the term but major alterations will commence during the next holidays when the new roofing structure for the Clocktower Atrium will begin. Building will then take place until the commencement of 2010. However, our girls will be in a safe working and very interesting environment.
I wish students and staff well, for what I am sure, will be a busy Term 3!
