Netball Finals

Tuesday 9 June 2009

The girls played well as a team against some tough opposition.

Our Years 7 and 8 netballers gave their all at last week's Semi Finals, as Dean of Year 8 and Physical Education teacher, Gina Peele writes in today's blog.

Throughout Term 2, 50 Years 7 and 8 students have attended netball training every Tuesday morning and played games at Duncan MacKinnon Reserve on Thursday evenings.  This committed group of students have done very well, improving every week under the guidance of their coaches, four of which were Years 11 and 12 students. The A Netball Team, consisting of Olivia, Emily, Sam, Nakita, Jade, Charlotte, Issy, Allie and Kate (injured) made it through to the Semi Finals and played on Thursday 4 June at Waverley Netball Centre.  The talented and dedicated team, coached by Em (Year 12), played very well against Toorak College and MLC, but came up against some tough opposition, losing 47-8 against Toorak College and 18-20 against MLC.  The girls played a very good game against MLC to only lose by only 2 goals.
