Passionate Parents

The centrepieces at the Luncheon were beautiful trees with 'hands' reaching out, illustrating the 'Giving Back' theme.

The ‘Giving Back' Ruth Langley Luncheon last Friday, was a truly wonderful event for the women of the St Catherine's community and a special mention must go to our Parents' and Friends' Association and President Miche Bonnet-Horton, who organised the successful occasion.  The symbol of the ‘Giving Back' Ruth Langley Luncheon was a tree made up of arms and hands reaching out on all sides. This symbol, to me, was a very significant reminder of both my need to be ‘touched' at various times, and also to keep my own sensitivities alert to the needs of others. It is also a distinct reminder of the involvement and strong commitment that so many of our parents have to our School. Whether they are members of the Parents' and Friends' Association, our Parent Auxiliaries or simply assist and attend our various School events and fundraisers, the support of our parents is one St Catherine's greatest assets.
