Life lessons

Wednesday 6 April 2011

I’ve learned that....

  • It takes years to build trust, and seconds to destroy it.
  • It’s not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts.
  • You can get by on charm for about 15 seconds, but after that you’d better know something.
  • Never compare yourself to the best others can do.
  • You can do something in an instant that will bring you a lifetime of regret.
  • You can keep going after you think you can’t.
  • It’s always better to take responsibility for what you do, no matter how much shame or criticism it will bring you.
  • You either control your attitude, or it will control you.
  • Real heroes are the people who do what has to be done, when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
  • It’s OK to be angry, but that doesn’t give you the right to take that anger out on someone else.
