A visit from Grant Hackett!
Wednesday 11 March 2009
It was with great excitement that we hosted Grant Hackett today in the ‘best room' in the School, our Drawing Room. Our Rowing First Eight were privileged and excited to host Grant as their motivational speaker and genuine guest.
Not wanting to be ‘The Principal' during such an important and exciting time for the team, I worked in my Office while Coach, Annabelle Eaton and the girls had what I could hear to be a marvellous and insightful time with Grant. Annabelle and the girls spilled out with our special guest into the Sherren House Foyer - declaring to have had an important and happy time. Our First Eight now have renewed inner energy for the Head of the Schoolgirls!

I am looking forward to seeing our first theatrical production for this year, the Greek tragedy, King Oedipus. This contemporary, innovative production has been developed in conjunction with St Kevin's College under the direction of Mr Ian Nott. The performance will take place in Edmund's Courtyard at St Kevin's from 18 - 20 March at 7.45pm. For tickets, telephone 9822 0911. This will be an excellent vehicle to begin our theatrical year and we look forward to seeing many of you there.
We are also anticipating our forthcoming opera Dido and Aeneas to be held on Friday 24 April at Toorak Uniting Church. To read more about our Drama Program click here.
