From our Year 8 Dean

Thursday 19 February 2009

We are looking forward to meeting Year 8 Parents at this evening's Parent Information Night. Our Senior girls are having their School photographs taken today.

Gina Peele, Dean of Year 8, writes for today's Blog:

This evening we are holding the Year 8 Parent Information Night. During this session parents will hear from the Principal, Sylvia Walton, who will address the School's Vision, Patty Wallace-Smith, our Director of Curriculum and VCE, who will speak about the Year 8 Curriculum and Amy Neville, Outdoor Education Instructor, who will outline the Beyond Boundaries program. I will be talking to parents about the pastoral care activities in Year 8 and Jenny Mathers, our new Head of Music, will speak about the many and varied music activities within the School. It should be a great evening and I look forward to meeting all Year 8 parents. Mrs Walton's aim is to have all of our students involved in, and enthusiastic about singing and all the advantages of knowing music, from ‘scat' singing to opera!

Looking out of my Office window today to the Sherren House Forecourt, I see our Senior girls are having their School photographs taken; a permanent reminder of a moment in time, and a memory for our girls which will be published in our School Magazine at the end of the year.
