Exams and AFL SportsReady
Wednesday 3 November 2010
All our VCE students have commenced their examinations in a very positive and orderly manner. The English exam was held on a fine, sunny spring day which further lifted spirits.
I do commend the 2010 Year 12s for the way in which they are supporting each other and approaching this final examination period.
I would also like to thank the people who have been involved in the AFL SportsReady Program. It has been running for a number of years but this year has been our first contact in a formal way with a student undertaking the course. It has been entirely successful and has shown a different pathway to what will be a very interesting and happy future.
Within the spectrum of VCE subjects and studies the role of private providers which are accredited within the educational sector will become increasingly important for some students. Generally these procedures are in speciality or niche areas which are able to form part of a VET component for VCE.
As part of Term 4 there are a variety of outward bound experiences occurring. We welcomed back Year 7 last Friday and I would like to thank the girls and staff for the conduct and activities that took place at the camp.
For Thought
I sincerely believe that the word relationships is the key to the prospect of a decent world. It seems abundantly clear that every problem you will have – in your family, in your business, in our nation, or in this world – is essentially a matter of relationships, of interdependence.

The most important thing in an argument, next to being right, is to leave an escape hatch for your opponent, so that he can gracefully swing over to your side without too much apparent loss of face.
