With your philanthropic support we can provide the facilities, programs, infrastructure and staff to build the foundations for life-long independent learning for our girls.

For over 120 years, St Catherine’s School has secured generous philanthropy from our Annual Giving to support capital development, education and resources, and scholarships.

Our students have extended their education, immersed themselves in new programs and received essential resources and support all thanks to donations through Annual Giving.

Please join with us in supporting our 2017 Annual Giving program. Supporting our Her Future Begins Here campaign, our objective is to empower our students to become life-long learners and seekers of information, to provide strong new foundations for literacy and learning.

More than just books

Located at the heart of the new Junior School will be an innovative Library and Resource Centre. An inclusive and welcoming environment for our School community to enjoy before, during and after School. A place to empower students to become life-long learners and seekers of information. The Library and Resource Centre will be supported by the latest technology and engaging literature to encourage a passion for reading.

“I think it will be great to have it on the ground floor. I’ve heard that it is going to be bigger, with lots of comfy spots and spaces to let your imagination grow,” says Alessandra Lane Year 3 student excitedly.

Immersing our girls in language

One of the defining features of our new Junior School is the Language Lab – an initiative that will transform the delivery of language tuition at our School.

Our Language Lab will create an environment where our students are able to immerse themselves in language programs such as French, English as a Second Language and Chinese (Mandarin). The purpose designed space will encourage participation by allowing students to have access to the information quickly and easily, personalise the learning process and encourage creativity and innovation.

Our growing Indigenous family

Our Indigenous Scholarship Program opens doors for Indigenous students from regional, rural and remote communities to access high-quality education in culturally inclusive environment.  The Scholarship Program provides them with the tools and confidence to take full advantage of life-changing experiences, through their education and boarding school experiences, travel and camps.

Whilst the Program’s core aim is to provide a wealth of experiences and educational experiences for our Indigenous girls, it is a partnership that also ensures our School benefit greatly from having a diversity of talents and experiences represented within our student cohort

From Mansfield to Medical Imaging

Amy Martin ‘14 was born and bred in Mansfield, in country Victoria. A boarding scholarship enabled Amy to attend St Catherine’s and experience all our School has to offer – “the girls were all enthusiastic to learn and the teachers were beyond enthusiastic. The boarding house was, quite literally, my home away from home and the staff were incredibly supportive.”

“Living with fifty other girls prepared me well for university and boarding at Deakin University, Geelong where I studied my Bachelor of Medical Imaging degree.

By working and giving together, we ensure our students have the best possible facilities and programs for their all-round development and enrichment, providing the best start for their life beyond School.

Every gift, of every size, makes a real and positive impact. To support our women of the future download our Annual Giving form or make a contribution online.
