Year 7 Student Australian Fencing Champion
Congratulations to Mayuri Muralidharan who has become the number one Under 15 Australian female Fencer.
Year 7 student Mayuri Muralidharan is now ranked the top female Fencer in the Women’s Under 15 Foil category. At only 11 years of age Mayuri is the youngest athlete to achieve this ranking. St Catherine’s School Principal, Mrs Michelle Carroll congratulated Mayuri saying, “Her athleticism combined with her positive attitude to training is a great recipe.”
“Through St Catherine’s Athlete Care Program we are proud to support all our aspiring and dedicated athletes across a diverse range of sports,” Mrs Carroll said.
Mayuri has spent the summer holidays training at the Australian Institute of Sport as part of the Talented Fencing Program, a nationally recognised program providing specialised training for Australia’s most talented fencers.
