The Boy Friend
The Boy Friend cast impressed audiences with their musical and theatrical talents, dancing choreography and not to mention their very authentic French accents!
The St Catherine's cast of actresses, dancers and musicians finished on a high on Friday night, performing the finale of the Senior School Musical The Boy Friend to a sell out crowd!
The girls and their fellow cast members from St Kevin's College, transported their audience to Madame Dubonnet's Finishing School in the South of France, where a group of English teenagers were learning to become ‘Perfect Young Ladies'.
The plot revolved around Polly, performed by Year 12 student Amanda Lee, who had fictionalised a boyfriend because all the boys she had previously met had only been interested in her considerable inheritance. Fortunately, a local delivery boy named Tony arrived at the school with a package and the proverbial sparks flew! But as we would expect, love's path was not smooth until the finale of the third act.
The three performances of The Boy Friend were of great enjoyment for cast, crew, orchestra and audience. The St Catherine's cast certainly impressed with their musical and theatrical talents, dancing choreography and not to mention their very authentic French accents!
