St Catherine's girls go for Gold

Danielle, Isabella, Kate, Georgina and Alexandra are each Gold awardees

We are very proud to announce that five students of the Class of 2008 have achieved their Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award. With the Victorian average at only one Gold Award per school, St Catherine's is most proud of the girls' achievements.

Alexandra Fish, Danielle Cartney, Kate Bristow, Isabella Hubay and Georgina Chao have each put in a great amount of effort in completing all the requirements for the Award, including community service (12 months), physical recreation (12 months) and learning a new non-physical skill (12 months), two expeditions in the Australian bush and participation in a five-day residential project.

The girls were presented with their Gold Award by the Governor of Victoria, Professor David de Kretser AC at Government House this month.
