Outstanding 2009 VCE Results
Mrs Sylvia Walton AO congratulates our 2009 Dux, Susannah Guthrie, who achieved an ENTER of 99.75.
Once again, our Senior students have showcased their outstanding academic potential and leadership skills, as well as talent in all areas of the School's co-curricular programs, achieving impressive results in the Victorian Certificate of Education.
- 5% of students recorded Equivalent National Tertiary Entrance Rank (ENTER) scores of 99 or higher (placing them in the top 1% of all Victorian students);
- 27% achieved scores of 95 and above which places them in the top 5% of the State;
- 51% achieved scores of 90 and above which places them in the top 10% of the State;
- 85% of students achieved scores of 80 and above, which positions them in the top 20% of the State;
- Three students recorded perfect Study Scores of 50 in English, Mathematical Methods and Media respectively.
- Excellent Study Score results across the Class of 2009, with 29 scores of 45 or above in Chemistry, English, French, Further Mathematics, Health and Human Development, History (Revolutions), Japanese, Legal Studies, Literature, Mathematical Methods, Media, Physical Education, Specialist Mathematics, Studio Arts, and Visual Communication and Design;
- 54 per cent of students achieved a Study Score of over 40 in English.
Congratulations to our 2009 Dux
Congratulations to the Dux of St Catherine's School for 2009, Susannah Guthrie, who achieved an ENTER of 99.75. Susannah gained a perfect Study Score of 50 in English and scores of 44 and above in History (Revolutions), International Studies, Literature and Theatre Studies (2008). Susannah was our 2009 School Captain.
