Viva Voci's Success at Boroondara Eisteddfod

Our Viva Voci choir, made up of 15 singers from Years 9 to 12, took out second place in the 2009 Boroondara Eisteddfod's Secondary School Choir division.

St Catherine's Viva Voci choir has sung its way to second place in the Secondary School Choir division of the 2009 Boroondara Eisteddfod.

Made up of 15 young singers from Years 9 to 12, Viva Voci finished the competition with an impressive score of 96/100, defeated narrowly by just half a point by a 50 member choir from Presbyterian Ladies' College. St Catherine's Sherren Singers also performed strongly at the event, awarded with a score of 89/100.

Having not competed in an Eisteddfod for many years, St Catherine's wonderful performance at the Boroondara Eisteddfod is representative of the School's strong choral traditions and Music program. There is a significant amount of vocal talent at St Catherine's, with many Viva Voci members at an AMEB level of Grade 5 or above.
