Students meet Vogue Fashion writer and Old Girl Pippa Holt
A group of St Catherine's girls had the exciting opportunity to chat about the fashion and magazine industries with British Vogue Fashion Features Associate and Old Girl Pippa Holt ('92) last week.
Pippa was an international guest of the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival and she took time out to speak with students Susannah Guthrie, Laura Mitchell, Old Girl Claire Mazzone ('06), Claudia Wills, Jade Robertson, Priscilla Giannarelli and Olivia Friedman at the Sofitel, Collins Street.
Speaking about her career journey, Pippa gave the girls an insight into the operations of fashion magazines, the differences between the Australian and UK fashion industries and offered some useful tips on how they could get their start in a very competitive industry.
"Pippa gave great insight into the world of fashion and she showed us that determination and perseverance can help you achieve your dreams, even at such a young age", VET Fashion Design student Jade said.
The Age was there to capture the exciting opportunity for our girls, with a story appearing in the My Career section on Saturday 21 March.
