Sarah wins Australia’s prestigious writing prize

St Catherine’s Year 12 student, Sarah Lang, has won the Future Leaders Writing Prize, an Australia wide writing competition for Years 11 and 12 students.

The Future Leaders Writing Prize is a very competitive and prestigious award, with only four recipients each year from across the nation. This year, Sarah was the only Victorian winner and the only student who won for a non fiction piece of writing.

The judges, a panel of academics, lawyers and writers, were incredibly impressed with the complexity of Sarah’s winning philosophical essay.

As part of the Prize, Sarah will have her writing published in a book that will also contain writing from well known Australian academics and writers.
