We are delighted to announce that three of our Year 12 students - Jane Bubb, Jacinta Halsall and Brittany Hancock have been offered a place in Deloitte's Traineeship Program for 2009.

The three girls make up nearly a third of the group of eleven Melbourne students to have been offered a place - an outstanding achievement.

The Traineeship Program provides high achieving Year 12 students with invaluable employment experience while completing a relevant university degree. The girls will have six months of ‘settle in' time at university before embarking on a mix of full-time and part-time work at Deloitte and full-time and part-time study.

The girls can look forward to generous study support in their time in the Program. The girls applied to the Program all intending to study in the business, commerce and accounting areas. Jane Bubb said she is "nervous but excited" to be joining not only the tertiary world, but also the corporate world, in 2009.

"Deloitte provides the hands on and real life experiences that university teaches from a book, allowing the ingraining of the fundamentals. The traineeship will allow us to complete a relevant single degree at our university of choice over four years, with a guaranteed job at the end. I am hoping to go to the University of Melbourne to complete a Commerce degree or study Accountancy at RMIT."

The program allows invaluable employment experience with some of Australia's top accountants whilst working amongst the fastest growing ‘big four' accounting firms in Australia. Deloitte is located in over 150 countries globally, allowing many travel opportunities both nationally and globally.
