Mr Lloyd Knight

Lloyd Knight has a passion for sport, particularly athlete development. He identifies with the ideas of athlete care, sporting pathways and team culture as vital components of successful sport environments.
With tertiary educations in Exercise Sciences and a Masters of Sport Coaching, Lloyd has a range of experience, working in a variety of sport settings, at both an elite and developmental level. This work has included guiding athletes to perform at both a national and international level. In Athletics he has coached numerous national medallists in Sprint, Hurdles and Long Jumping events and in 2018 was privileged to assist in the guidance of an athlete competing at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. Lloyd has gained valuable experience in high-performance settings working within a variety of sports, most notably the AFL. His worked with the Melbourne Football Club that has grounded his understanding in strength and conditioning and holistic athlete welfare.
Lloyd prides himself on his ability to adapt and apply his elite sport knowledge within a school sport context. Lloyd has had over 10 years of school sport experience, working across a number of schools within the Girls Sport Victoria Association (GSV) and the Association of Public Schools (APS), with great success. Lloyd’s coaching and management has seen teams excel in variety of sports including Track and Field, Cross Country, Rowing and Snowsports.
Lloyd is committed to encouraging the girls of St Catherine’s School to enjoy their sport, realise the best of themselves and stay active for life.
