International Club
Culture, connections and cuisine!
The International Club celebrates the diversity of our student population and gives everyone the chance to share their cultural experiences through special activities and assemblies.
The Club organises excursions to a variety of international restaurants and visits to cultural centres, such as the Jewish Holocaust Museum, which are always well-attended. Local students are invited to the International Club's weekly lunchtime screenings of international movies in the School Theatrette.
Key activities run by the International Club on an annual basis include the Welcome BBQ in the first week of Term 1, to which our international students invite the local students, the Cultural Diversity Assembly and the International Food Fair, which is an opportunity for our international students to cook a variety of cuisines which are enjoyed by teachers and students alike. The proceeds of the International Food Fair are donated to a charity of the students’ choice, such as Guide Dogs Victoria. It is always uplifting to see our students apply themselves with determination and enthusiasm to such causes.
We encourage all students, whatever their culture or background, to become involved in the Club to further their knowledge, understanding and appreciation of other cultures.
