Facilities for our Students
Take a stroll through the grounds
Set on one attractive campus, the School's historic buildings and modern refurbishments create a magnificent blend of the past with the present. With plenty of open space, playing fields and manicured gardens, our students enjoy a beautiful and comfortable learning environment. We take great pride in the appearance of our School and developing state-of-the-art facilities to meet the needs of our students.
Historic Buildings: Fortunate to be custodians of magnificent historic buildings, our students develop a strong respect for the past.
Manicured Gardens: Our beautiful grounds provide an inspiring setting for our students to relax and talk with friends.
Our Boarding House: Illawarra, our historic boarding house, was fully restored in 1997 and offers students a ‘home away from home'.
Computer Centre: The well-equipped Computer Centre complements our Notebook Computer Program, and provides students with the latest in software, and also useful technical support.
Comfortable Classrooms: Our spacious classrooms and modern furniture ensure a comfortable learning environment for students. Interactive whiteboards and data projector facilities are a feature of many rooms. Enhancements and new technology for our classrooms are always being made.
Science Laboratories: Our laboratories provide an inspiring environment for budding scientists. We are fortunate to be able to continually update equipment and supplies to ensure our girls are given every opportunity to pursue their scientific interests.
Libraries: Our Nicholas Library for Senior School students and our Barbreck Library (for ELC and Junior School students) are always full of interested readers and researchers, and are also used for student meetings and class activities.
Performing Arts: Catering to all musical tastes and skills and dramatic aspirations, the School's Music and Drama programs offer every girl an abundance of opportunities, whatever her area of interest. Our own Music Soundhouse is a creative hub of melodies and rhythms as students use the latest technology to compose, mix and arrange their own songs. Each year our girls make us proud as they perform in a varied and entertaining line-up of musical and dramatic performances.
Art Studios: Our fully renovated visual arts studios for painting, ceramics and sculpture, drawing, design, print-making and photography are housed in ‘Wiltondale', our spacious and sunlit Visual Arts Centre. The Junior School also has its own dedicated Arts Space.
Sports Facilties: The Marigold Southey Sports & Aquatic Centre and the upgrading of the Senior School Sports Fields directly support the already strong wellbeing program within our curriculum. Our current sports facilities include multi-purpose courts, grass playing fields, a well-equipped gymnasium and hall for all sports. Concerts and Assemblies are also held in our hall, within the Dorothy Pizzey Centre in the Senior School.
