Barbreck House Swimming Carnival

Monday 21 October saw Barbreck’s largest ever House Swimming Carnival. For the very first time, our Year 2 students joined in the competition bolstering our numbers. There were many fine performances during the day and our students displayed great House spirit as they searched for one of the last House wins of 2019. At the conclusion of the morning and afternoon sessions, it was Beaulieu Blair who were the victors.

The final standings are listed in the following table:

House Points
Beaulieu Blair 305
Davis 270
Holmes Kilbride 251
Langley Templeton 224

In the popular Blue Ribbon Final, it was Langley Templeton’s Portia Gowrie (Year 6) who won the day.

The final placings were as follows:

Place Student
 1st Portia Gowrie (Year 6)
 2nd Audrey Doan (Year 6)
 3rd Annabel Taylor (Year 6)
 4th Emma Peele (Year 5)
 5th Amity Morris (Year 5)

Students displayed great House spirit at Barbreck’s largest ever House Swimming Carnival.

From these results, a squad of students will be chosen to train on Tuesday mornings, in preparation for the 2020 Armadale District Swimming Carnival on Thursday 20 February 2020.
