St Catherine’s Track and Field Make it Five in a Row!

Congratulations to the St Catherine’s Senior School Track and Field team who last week qualified for the GSV Division 1 Championships for the fifth year in a row.

The St Catherine’s team produced a strong performance at the preliminary round, winning the Population Trophy, the Senior (Years 11 and 12) Category Trophy and finishing an extremely close 2nd overall to Firbank. Team captains Annelise Cody (Year 12) and Chloe Manson (Year 12), who together with their committed group of Year 12 students, set an outstanding standard for the Junior girls throughout the day. The results of the day were a real team effort with every girl working hard to contribute towards the School’s final score and progression through to Division 1.

Across the day, St Catherine’s girls produced outstanding results. The following students recorded A Grade victories:

  • Olivia Nigido-Scott (Year 9): Year 9 Discus (31.45m), Year 9 Javelin (27.95m) and Year 9 Shot Put (10.66m).
  • Millie Fraser-Smith (Year 11): Year 11 Shot put (11.09m) and Year 11 Javelin (31.91m).
  • Elodie Ferrali (Year 10): Year 10 100m (13.47), Year 10 90m Hurdles (14.57) and Year 11 400m (64.48).
  • Lucia Tabbagh (Year 8): Year 8 Triple Jump (10.11m).
  • Celia Cody (Year 12): Year 12 High Jump (1.47m)

St Catherine’s Senior School Track and Field girls have qualified for the GSV Division 1 Championships for the fifth year in a row.

  • Milla Naylor (Year 8): Year 8A Discus.
