English Faculty Update: The Crucible

This year, we are excited to inform you that the Senior School Play is Arthur Miller’s The Crucible. This is one of the Year 12 English texts set for study this year and it is very likely that Year 11 will study this play in 2020.

As part of their Year 11 and 12 English studies this year, it is highly recommended that all VCE students attend this production. In VCE English, The Crucible is studied as a comparative text and viewing a live performance is so valuable for the students’ understanding of the play and the dramatic features that are employed to engage an audience.

The performance dates are Thursday 16 and Friday 17 May at 6.30pm, and Saturday 18 May at 4.00pm. Due to the nature of the script, the production is recommended for audiences 15 years and up. To book tickets, follow the prompts in this link.

Please make sure your daughter books tickets for this production. This is an amazing opportunity to view this play at the School and support the Senior students who are part of the production.
