Dr Anne Waterhouse, School Council member and past parent of three St Catherine’s daughters, works in a remote Indigenous community in the Kimberley during the year, where the girls have all started playing Aussie Rules football. There are three teams but only enough boots for one team, so in true desert ‘never-give-up’ style, they are playing in bare feet on the gravel oval which has not a blade of grass.
