District Athletics Report

On Monday 6 August, approximately 40 students from Years 3 to 6 participated in the District Athletics Carnival held at the Lakeside Athletics Track. Despite the cold and windy conditions, our girls were in great spirits and took up the challenge in true St Catherine’s style. Year 4 student Emma Peele was outstanding in all her performances, winning six events and qualifying for the Division Carnival in September.

Many of our students were called upon to fill in for students who were unwell. The students gave their best efforts for their school. It was great to see the overall standard from all the schools in our district improve, which made for a very close and competitive competition. The challenge now lies before us to step up and improve our standings for next year.
