It was our pleasure to host a breakfast last Wednesday for around 40 families and friends to thank them for their generous support which has enabled work to begin on our Junior School project.

Anne Smith, Patron of the Her Future Begins Here Campaign

A highlight from the breakfast was a special performance by Year 6 students signing ‘Bring Me Little Water, Silvy’, which Junior School parents may recall from last year’s Music Concert. It was also our honour to announce Anne Smith as our Campaign Patron. Anne well known by generations of St Catherine’s parents and alumni as the Head of Barbreck from 1980 – 2000: the longest service in the School’s history.

The Foundation Board is truly grateful for the strong and positive support we have received from all parents, friends and alumnae as we build our new Junior School – our most significant project in fifty years. The great news is that with your support, we are now well over half the way in reaching our Campaign target of $3 million. Our Campaign Team, led by parents Sally Joubert and Cam Bertalli, looks forward to engaging with you throughout the year to realise this target and our bold vision for St Catherine’s girls.

We hope that over time you will be able to join over 400 families who are members of the Foundation and join us in demonstrating our belief in St Catherine’s commitment to nurturing and empowering strong capable girls. Our Foundation members this year are invited to an exclusive private tour of the Van Gogh Exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria on Friday 12 May.
